We have figured out two things that Connor absolutely loves! His swing and the blowdryer. Anytime he is crying he will stop if I put him in the swing or turn on the blowdryer.
that's funny- Olivia LOVES both those things too... the blow dryer is so fasinating, huh! The vacume cleaner is BAAAD though, does Conner like it? Too bad Livie doesn't have a swing like Conner! She's jealous! She's only gotten to visit the swings at other houses, but boy does she love it!
My theory is they like those things cuz the swinging and the blowdryer noise mimic what it was like when they were inside mommy. Evidently it's really loud in there! (That one doctor who wrote The Happiest Baby on the Block (?)recommends sshushing in their ear when they're upset and not be quiet about it). And of course Mom is generally on the move which mimics the swinging or moving motion. (Evidently Grammie is going to have to get Livie a swing for her visit to Oregon!)
