Horsie Rides

Connor got to see his very first Horses. He didn't seem that interested though.

We thought he might want to ride, unfortunately he started to cry. I guess he doesn't like riding horses as much as mommy!

Grandpa Durfee (73 years old) took Kacy and I horse back riding on one of the days we were there. We had lots of fun. We saw one cotton tailed rabbit and three jack rabbits. We also saw a dead calf up in the hills. It smelled!!

Nice Butts! (I am talking about the horses!) Grandpa gave Kacy and I the better horses. The horse he is riding is FAT and out of shape. He is so nice. He also took the worst sadle. One of the sturrups is completely twisted so he had trouble keeping his foot in. Kacy and I kept having our horses run up the trail. Grandpa's horse is and lazy and will not (probably cannot) lope (run) so he was always behind us at a trot. If any of you have been on a horse you know that a trot isn't very soft. He had a bumpy ride while me and Kacy were gliding up the trail. After a while we stopped because we felt so bad! Grandpa is such a good sport! He had a pretty sore rear end after that trip.

Lady, the horse I rode was very sweaty after the long ride. She rolled in the dirt when we go back so that she could cool off!
