It's Been Awhile!

Update.

First of all...I am sure you have noticed that my page is ugly. This is for a reason. I have decided to print out all of my blog entries so that I can compile them by year. This way I will have a journal/scrapbook of day to day events. I changed the background so that I wouldn't waste too much ink. I also changed the archiving so that it is by individual days and there is only one post per page. This is the only way I could think of. Blogger doesn't have an option of listing posts from oldest to newest which would be easier than printing off each post separately. Oh well. If you can think of a better way, let me know.

Two weeks ago we were able to go to my great-grandma's 95th birthday. It took place at my mom's aunt and uncle's home. They have a big man-made pond with a paddle boat.

Connor loved it!

Love Birds...David & Aaron Funke (Kacy's boyfriend). I was laughing so hard seeing these boys in the paddle boat together. It seemed like the world disappeared when they were together.

Connor had his 18 month doctor appointment last week and he is doing great. He is in the 65th percentile for height, the 12th for weight, and the 80th for head (I still don't think he has a big head...oh well, I guess he is just smart!). On one of the papers I was given it said children should know 12-18 words by 18 months. I started to think of all the words Connor knew and I came up with a big list. He is an impressive little guy. Here are some of the words he can say (close to what they should sound like). I know he can say more, but I can't think of them all.

boy, Santa, mow, basketball, chair, eww, poop, pee, up, sad, happy, Jesus, mail, paper, dirt, door, Elmo, bath, water, juice, cup, Andrew (Anew), Blair, Leslie, Brent, Hailey (lala), Kacy, Mama (this means mom and grandma), Papa, Daddy, Drew, bear, hat, boy, bike, tractor, car, flower, bubble, ball, toy, hello, hi, bye, baby, oh no, yeah, no, yes, yummy, sun, moon, sock, shoe, banana, apple, diaper, owie, hair, knee, eye, elbow, ear, dog, computer (puter), doll, book, amen, and ball.

So, that is 70 words. I bet if I wrote down every word he said for a week it would be closer to 100. He is learning more and more everyday. It is fun to see him learn and grow. He is even helping us say prayers at night. We say a short line and he gets to say the last word. He tries so hard and is very proud of himself.

Our family is going to a reunion in Idaho. We will be leaving tomorrow, Wednesday, and will come home on Sunday. It should be a blast. I love spending time with my cousins! Yippee.
