Snow Day
Last Sunday David and I woke up for church. We were in the usual rush trying to get ready and get Connor ready. I sang with Kacy in church, so we had to be there early to practice and had scheduled just enough time. Right before I walked down the stairs to head out the door, David yelled "It snowed!" I didn't believe him, of course, and quickly walked down the stairs and outside. He was right, it snowed! Yippie. We drove to church, and of course I was 5 minutes late to practice because we hadn't planned on snow, but it all worked out. After the 2nd hour of church, we were told the 3rd hour was canceled, so we left. All the other wards were canceled too. Crazy! Luckily, school was canceled on Monday and it was too dangerous for David to drive all the way to Portland, so we had a family snow day. It was a blast.
We went up to David's parents were there was about 3 inches more than our house. Connor got to wear his snow suit. He only stayed outside for a little while though. He wasn't a big fan of the cold snow!
Here is a picture of Connor and David
Kacy, David and I made a snow sectional couch. It took a lot of time, but it was fun! Then we decided to make an igloo, as you can see in the background. Kacy, Alan, Tina, Brent and I worked for a few hours on it.
Here they are, packing snow to make big blocks. It was hard work! More for the boys though. They packed most of the snow for the blocks. Kacy, Tina and I filled in the cracks.
Here it is, our beautiful igloo. After we were done, we crawled inside. I was pretty impressed. We probably won't have energy to make another one in a few years, so Im glad we did it this year! Plus, it usually doesn't snow enough for an igloo! We had a great day. I was glad David didn't have to go to work and we could finally have a play day!

Ahhh Connor looks so cute and mushy in his little snowsuit! That's adorable! I wish Byron didn't love the snow so much--he threw screaming tantrums for 15 minutes every time we had to go back inside the house, and that was usually after we had been out in the snow for an hour and a half or more!!! Little monster child. And your igloo is rad, too, by the way.
That igloo is amazing! I want one! What a cool idea, and it was very well-made. Connor is getting more and more adorable, and I bet he is getting funner every day. You have such a cute little family! :)
Hi there, Marchant family. I found your blog. I had no idea that you had a son. He is adorable!
Wow, you've updated a lot on your blog! Your eyes are really pretty--they really stand out in the picture of you guys together in the snow. And cool igloo! That's impressive.
