After I found out we were having a little boy, I went nursery crazy. All of Connor's things have followed him into his room, so the new baby didn't have much in the decoration area. We have a separate room for the baby, and since we bought a home in November I could actually paint the walls and go a little crazy. My mom and grandma helped me so much. Here are some pictures of what we have done so far.
We decided a jungle theme would be cool, so my mom and I painted some murals on the wall. I have a little projector, so we projected images, penciled them in and then painted. It was a lot of fun. This is an elephant peeking out of the closet (mom's creation). It is Connor's favorite part of his brother's room.
Next we have a little jungle scene. It started out as my project, but once mom finished the elephant we worked together to finish this one.
Here is a view of the changing table, wall shelf and mural. The shelf was actually a stand for VHSs, but I painted it and turned it sideways. I got it for 5 bucks at a garage sale a while back. The chair is also a garage sale purchase. I think we got it for $10 and David recovered it.
Another view.
Once we picked out our colors, we bought material for the curtains and David made them. Yes, David! I am not the best at sewing, but somehow I married a man that can do ANYTHING!
My grandma had these frames laying around and let me have them. We put scrapbook paper in the background and cut these pictures out of a jungle book my mom had.
Grandma also gave me these frames. We put scrapbook paper in these too. Grandma bought the animals for us along with a few other things for the room. She is always so helpful, and has always been good at decorating.
Crib shot. The crib set is from Walmart.
Another view of the crib.
I am so happy with what we have done so far and am really glad that so much has been done. It makes me really excited about having another baby!!

That looks fantastic!!!!!
I love the nursery! How cute!!!! What does Conner's room look like? Does he have a cool theme too? I'd love to see it.
Wow! Way to go! You are so on top of it! It looks so cute and happy and colorful and interesting. Perfect for a baby room! You guys did such a great job with the painting, and I love the little bird especially! And I LOVE David's curtains too! I have been having such a hard time with our lil tike's room, but luckily Nicole said she would help me, so hopefully it won't be too long before it's ready to go.
Hey, I have a kinda dumb question about changing tables. So, obviously Chad and I need one, and I see some that just look like a plain ol' table or dresser. Can you use a dresser and put a pad or something on it? I like the one you have a lot, but we have a piece of furniture that might work if put some type of pad on it...is that a bad idea? It seems less safe, but I assume that there are nice pads out there that could be attached, but maybe not.
I love it! I was originally going to do a jungle theme, but somehow it ended up as pink and brown!! I love the paintings though! They are awesome!
Adorable! I love decorating kids' rooms, which is probably why Byron and Ayden's is so cute and mine is so BORING! :) I'm with Melissa--I'd love to see pics of Conner's room, too!
C U T E and A D O R A B L E !!! I would love to see Connor's room too. You did a great job.
cute room Linds! I haven't decorated either or my girls rooms! You are so creative! I can not believe you have it so easy with Connor. What kind of a child just tells you he needs to poop. That is fantastic. I would love to not change Olivias sick poo any more. I can dream. Some day. I'm sure Connor has his 'bad' days, right!? You are a great mom, and I'm sure a lot of Connors success is because of you.
That is one awesome nursery!!! Conner must be jealous!
